Shri Dasam Granth Sahib Ji (ਸ੍ਰੀ ਦਸਮ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ)

Dasam Granth or Shri Dasam Granth Sahib Ji (???? ??? ????? ????? ??), historically known as “Book of the Tenth Emperor” (????? ??????? ?? ?????), contains writings by the Guru Gobind Singh, the tenth Sikh Guru and is an essential accompaniment to the Guru Granth Sahib, designed to instil fearlessness, martial spirit and practical worldly wisdom. It was compiled by an eminent Sikh called Bhai Mani Singh under the direct instruction of Mata Sundri, the wife of Guru Gobind Singh, after his passing in 1708.

The Jaap Sahib, Tav Prasad Savaiye and Chaupai Sahib, which form part of the daily prayers or Nitnem of the Sikhs, are all compositions from the Dasam Granth, as well as, the beginning portion of the daily standing prayer or Ardas. Guru Gobind Singh famously gives his autobiography in the writings called Bachittar Natak which are part of the Dasam Granth.
